SafeNBPT provides double protection for your soil applied nitrogen fertilizer, above and below the soil. NBPT is a urease inhibitor designed to reduce volatility of urea, uan, manure, and urea ammonium nitrate solutions by inhibiting the activity of the urease enzyme. SafeNBPT contains the active ingredients N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT), a natural enzymatic surfactant, CA-Polyhydroxyalkanoates, and CA-Octaethylene glycol to help prevent nitrogen leaching. This decreases volatilization loss and increases soil ammonium levels when applied with nitrogen at the recommended label rate.
