Role Overview:

Our family-managed company is looking for a Controller to join our team. This role is critical as it will be the cornerstone of our in-house accounting function, providing essential financial oversight and ensuring the company’s financial health. As the Controller, you will be the go-to person for all things accounting at Win Biologics. This is a hands-on role where you will handle everything from payroll processing to the preparation of financial statements. You’ll also work closely with the Owner and CEO to drive forecasting, budgeting, cash flow analysis and trend analysis. As our company grows, so will your role, with opportunities to build and lead your own accounting team in the future. To be successful in this role, you should be proficient in accounting principles, cost accounting, have excellent organizational and critical thinking skills. You should also be highly detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implementing new systems as needed to maintain control over accounting transactions, maintain accuracy and minimize risk.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the financial information in QB Online, ensuring tasks are completed timely and according to established policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile inventory between Zoho and QB Online, troubleshooting differences.
  • Manage AP and AR utilizing Aging reports, verify outstanding items are collectible and payable, coordinate collections.
  • Responsible for the preparation and review of timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Process payroll utilizing 3rd party software, monthly.
  • Recommend and monitor financial benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance and ensure on track to meet goals.
  • Produce an annual budget and forecast; monitor and report significant differences to the Owner and CEO.
  • Meet regularly with the Owner and CEO providing additional financial reports as requested, detail related to financial statements and report any areas of concern.
  • Work closely with outside CPA throughout the year.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

  • Proficient in QB Online.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

    Job Type: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
    • Minimum 5-7 years of related experience required.

    This is a hands-on role where the Controller will manage everything from payroll processing to the preparation of financial statements.
